Renewable Energy

1- Biogas
Sinai enjoys a lot of resources and untapped potential, and perhaps the most prominent of these that jumps to mind when you mention Sinai is yearround
sunshine and long beaches. In the course of our thoughts about the new era of Egypt after the revolution, we must look into the exploitation and development of our own resources while we return to society so that we can benefit from cost savings and preservation of the environment. Perhaps renewable energy provide a good advantage to Sinai society and economy. Let us look at these kinds of energy and how our society can benefit. Renewable energy is energy which comes from
natural resources which are renewable (naturally replenished) such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, Biomass (plant material) , Bio fuel. The first of these kind of energy that jumps to mind is biogas:
Biogas technology depends on anaerobic fermentation of solid and liquid waste, this has been deployed in many countries in the world to treat sewage, remnants of  farms, animals and houses and plant litter in an economical, safe and healthy way. It protects the environment from pollution and produces methane which is used as a source of new and renewable energy . It can contribute significantly to the rationalisation of consumption of traditional energy such as petroleum. The advantages of using biogas include waste disposal, which is in itself an advantage to be reckoned with, but biogas has also got multiple benefits that qualify it to be a substitute for normal energy sources. It is used without handlers or purification and it does not cause air pollution compared to other energy sources that produce carbon monoxide. The gas that is proiduced is non-toxic, colorless and has an odour of natural gas. The speed of the flame when the fires is 35 cm per second, slower than natural gas, making it a better alternative with the resulting thermal energy between 5000 to 6000 kcal per cubic meter. It is a simple technology that can be applied to large projects such as apartment complexes or hotels or on a smaller scale in regular housing. It does not depend on drainage pipes, but on reservoirs which are converted to sources of clean, free energy in addition. We invite hotel and residential complex owners along with other residents of The Sinai to consider this
kind of energy which will certainly contribute to the creation of a cleaner society, a reduction in operating costs and a better standard of life.
